i've been tinking quite abit recently..abt bboying..n dance..

like how bboying doesn't reali fit into e entire 'dance' scene huh..i mean..i dunno la i might be messed up but i feel the bboying scene has always been like nt part o e dance industry..dere's like the dance industry..den dere's bboying..like 2 seperate entities..y..??wad's it abt bboying dat makes it diff..??

izit e way we intepret e music..?? like cos we're upside down..or on all fours..or even when we're on our feet only, e stuff we do is like..simple, as compared to other styles o dance..like primitive lidat izit..n we kinda get our feet off e ground..like all flying ard n up in e air..while dancers keep their feet on e ground..true it might look cool n stuff but..lol dere's more to bboying den jus powermoves..

or izit e type o music..how many dancers nowadays noe how to appreciate funk..dere's rnb n stuff but i mean..i dunno how ppl can call funk music wierd..shit man funk is how it all started..isn't it..??

n isnt it wierd when..like when someone asks u if u're a dancer, dey usually ask if u dance minus bboying..cos like..if someone asks me if i'm a dancer, i'd say no, i'm a bboy..it's like nt e social norm if someone asks me "eh are u a dancer..??" den i reply "yeah i break"...seems wierd huh..

i dunno man i jus feel bboying is jus..like excluded..i mean nw bboys are like slowly entering e dance scene n making it big..check out super crew..check out quest crew..check out e 黑角 on e taiwan dance show..damn dey're all are dope shit can..lol..but somehow..i feel bboys are like..still on our own..get wad i mean..

i tink bboy storm once said..dat we're looked down upon by ballerinas..cos dere's no grading system..like ballet dere's grade 1 grade 2 etc..but in bboying..no such ting..but damn..y everytime dere's a hip hop comp..99% o e time dey'll put a silloutte o someone doing a freeze or smth bboy-ish..n it's nt even a bboy comp..n to make tings worse, bboying is nt one o e 'legal' categories dat ppl can compete in..if dat's e case, y put smth dat's so characteristic o bboying for e logo for e comp..??wth..

assuming we classify bboys n other dancers as seperate entities, i'd say dat it'd be easier for a bboy to pick up other styles o dance, as compared to some random dancer trying to pick up bboying..

budden again..izit cos bboys are like closed minded dat's y dey're like can't reali fit in..??i dunno man..but one ting i admit is dat e type o emotions bboying can convey is jus dat much..dance,as in dance minus bboying, can convey much more emotions..



lol damn random post i oso dunno y i'll suddenly tink o dis..but damn..bboys..we're jus different from other dancers..





anyway..had a talk wif jon jus nw..abt bboying..nra..stuff..n injuries..damn..my both knees are like reali wierd nw..n my lower back aches more often..ivan (att) said dat it's connected..i'm kinda afraid it might be quite serious man..i tink back abt vanesssa sharing wif us @ e agm..i can relate to how she feels..dat time i sprain my thumb oni den can't do footwork i alr feel like i'm crippled..being unable to dance..it's reali like a disability..
